Hi, I’m Debbie allen-Denson.

I stand before you today, not as someone who has never faced adversity, but as someone who has embraced it, learned from it, and emerged stronger because of it. Adversity, they say, is like a fierce wind that never ceases to blow, but it is also the very force that propels us forward towards our greatest potential.

In the face of challenges, we often discover hidden gifts within ourselves - gifts of resilience, courage, and unwavering determination. These gifts are not bestowed upon us by chance; they are cultivated through the trials and tribulations we endure. Each setback becomes a setup, each obstacle a chance to rise higher. My many obstacles included being a high school dropout, a welfare mom. Obstacles seemingly so great, that suicide had been considered. But I faced and rose above those challenges.

As you navigate the storms of life, remember that you are not alone. Reach out to the people around you, lean on your community, and embrace the support and love that surrounds you. For it is in our connections with others that we find strength beyond measure.

So, my friends, embrace your struggles as opportunites for growth. Embrace your setbacks as catalysts for transformation. And know that every challenge you overcome brings you one step closer to the person you were meant to be.

My Approach

Allen is an Emmy Award winning jornalist, published author and poet. She is a college professor at the graduate and undergraduate levels. She has accomplished the highest levels of education only by relying on her inner education which she says saved her life and keeps her grounded and grateful.

Why i do what i do

Recognizing and capitalizing on my gifts was and continues to define my journey. I’ve always felt strongly that no one should ever feel the way I felt for far too long. Surely, if I did it, crawled up out of the depths of despair, you can do it too.

Who you are

What I did you can also do. More importantly, you can do it by taking a deep dive into learning how to love yourself. When working as your coach or mentor, or when speaking to your group, I will share solutions that are crucial to become the champion you already know yourself to be.
